In Search of the Ghost Town of Noxville, Texas and the Grave of Famous Texas Ranger Creed Taylor.
From TSHA: “NOXVILLE, TEXAS. Noxville is on Farm Road 479 and the James River, twenty-one miles east of Junction in southeastern Kimble County. Creed Taylor, one of the first Anglo settlers in the area, built a two-story stone house on the James River in 1869. N30 22.237, W99 23.451 The road to Creed’s grave is partially through private property on a small PUBLIC ROAD. Respect the owner’s property. There are 2 ways to enter off of Farm Road 479, one on the east side of the bridge, the other on the west side. The east route requires the Little Devil River to be forded twice, but from the west side only once. The video was taken using the east route. The Little Devil River is normally calm.
