Focus & Goals
A love of the history and lore of the Wild West
Mission: The Wild West History Association is dedicated to fact-based research, education, and publications on all aspects of the Wild West and is open to anyone with an interest in advancing those objectives.
Vision: The Wild West History Association (WWHA) is dedicated to providing publications and forums for the enlightenment and enjoyment of its members, facilitating and encouraging research, study, writing, presentation and preservation of the history of the people, events and places that made the American West “Wild” in the nineteenth century. We publish scholarly articles in our WWHA Journal, hold national and regional conferences, host a website, administer social media groups, produce YouTube videos and sponsor the restoration of historic places and graves sites.
We recognize and honor those individuals and institutions that make significant contributions to the knowledge and preservation of Wild West history.
